I think you're right and Vikas is wrong, and I think Vikas is thinking of fast food merely in terms of the presence of a deep fryer. I'd say fast food is a national chain, service low-price, low-quality food, and it has basically the same menu no matter what region you're in.

Also I think your impression of Pizza Hut may be dated, back to its glory days of table service and Book-It programs. I think the vast majority of today's Pizza Huts are those KFC-Taco Bell combo places or a food court joint, mostly serving personal-sized pizzas. I think there are still some sit-down restaurants, but not many.

And, in response to Vikas' comment above, I think Subway meets the "unhealthy food prepared quickly". It's not AS unhealthy as other fast food, but it's still low-quality, high-preservative, nationally produced meat and cheese. Yummy!

I have to say Subway IS fast food. They have an assembly line making your food somewhat quickly. It's just in front of instead of back in the kitchen.

And there's a Subway drive through here in Miami.

This is a topic that definitely needs considering and I wish I had thought of it for my blog. (I like your blog overall). I'm a comedian wannabe, but I am a real blogger for two years now.

Take it easy,

Ya see! I KNEW subway wasn't a "fast food" chain. Fast food inherently describes unhealthy food prepared quickly.

Jerry: "Wow, Fast Food?"

Seth: "Hey, it's not "Fast Food." It's "Good Food. Quickly."
