Day 505/-227: Thursday, January 31, 2008: Little League (written 6/4/08)

June 4th, 2008

One of my favorite things to do is go to the batting cages, which I did with my friend Belinda for the 1st time in years. The park is only a few minutes from my place in Studio City. There are two things I always wanted to be - one of them is a baseball player. (The other is a DJ.) I was always good at the fundamentals in baseball and am actually pretty darned decent.

One of my other favorite things is realizing that no matter how old I get, I’ll always look like a kid.

You should ask Chico Bail Bonds if they will sponsor your website.

Now wait a sec…I’ve seen you play tennis (pretty good) and table tennis (good) but I’m not so sure about the baseball thing….

jon s - what a coincidence! you leave a comment the day after i call you to let you know i’m in your state for the first time and we haven’t talked in about a decade?! WILD.

and btw, you’re the one who told me i had better pitching mechanics than you. and you played pro ball.

“that’s what i’m talkin’ about.” - dreyer (talked to him 2 days ago)

I knew that you liked to play baseball (cf the carpet squares for bases that we would take to the park) but I agree with Jon S — were you ever really that good? -G
